12 Questions to Ask Before Joining a Business Coaching Program or Entrepreneur Group
Paid coaching programs, masterminds and entrepreneur communities can describe themselves in similar language. The differences show up in the details: who you actually work with, how often, what is promised and what you are committing to.
These questions are designed to be asked of any program, including EPN, before you join.
Format and access
- Is the support group-based, private one-on-one, or a mix, and is that written into the agreement?
- How often are live sessions held, and are they live or recorded?
- Who leads the sessions: the founder, staff coaches or peers?
- What happens after the core program ends?
Accountability and participation
- How is follow-through tracked between sessions?
- Are there smaller peer groups, and how are they formed?
- What level of participation is expected of members?
- Who are the other members, and how are they screened for fit?
Commitment and terms
- What is the total investment and payment arrangement, in writing?
- What is the cancellation policy and notice period?
- Does the program make any outcome, income or referral guarantees, and if so, what exactly are they?
- Can you speak with the founder or a program representative before deciding?
How EPN answers the format questions
EPN is group-based and does not promise private one-to-one coaching. Membership starts with The Path to Transformation™: 24 weeks of weekly live cohort sessions. During the remaining six months of the annual membership, members may join sessions in other PTT cohorts.
Members also have a Thursday-morning open laser-coaching Zoom with Rich Fournier, a monthly all-member Zoom and four quarterly in-person training events each year, along with Peer Accountability Pods and a private referral and deal network. EPN does not guarantee referrals, deals or business results.
Investment, payment arrangement and terms are covered in the intro conversation and enrolment terms, so you can review them before committing.
Talk it through
An intro conversation is a chance to ask these questions directly and decide whether EPN's group model fits what you need.
